Each year, Butte Environmental Council teams up with the City of Chico, Butte County, and the Great Sierra River Cleanup to organizer over 500 community volunteers to remove TONS of trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste from our creeks and beloved park. Without regular removal of man-made waste and debris, the water quality of local creeks, channels, and streams would be greatly impacted – negatively affecting the flora and fauna dependent on these riparian habitats.
Due to COVID-19, registrations will be online and lunch will not be provided in order to maintain social distancing requirements and keep all of our volunteers safe and healthy!
Sign up here to volunteer with your local cleanup. Bringing friends and family with you? Please register each volunteer separately!
