Public Notice of Request for Proposals: WNC Dam REmovals, Development to Design, French Broad and Little Tennessee Watersheds
American Rivers seeking contractors with the skills, knowledge, and commitment to identify dams that are prime for removal from a select group of western North Carolina counties, and then to design the removal of these dams so that they are construction-ready (Project). The purpose of the multi-step procedure as outlined in the RFP is to streamline the identification, execution, and implementation of dam removal activity by qualified contractors in Western North Carolina.
There are two RFPs for parallel projects serving two geographic regions, associated with the Little Tennessee River Watershed and the French Broad River Watershed respectively. Contractors are encouraged to apply for one or both Projects but must submit an individual proposal to be considered for each RFP.
