Hundreds of companies across the US encourage employees to support their favorite charities by matching their donations. Through a matching gift program, your employer may double or even triple the impact of your donation to American Rivers. Many companies also match donations from retirees and spouses.

What to do next

Many companies offer online matching gift processing, so you only need to let them know you donated to us, and they take care of the rest. Some companies even offer donations via payroll deduction, so we receive your donation and their matching gift in one lump sum!

If your employer requires a Matching Gift Form, fill out your portion and mail it to American Rivers in the envelope with your donation. If you’ve already sent in your donation or made your donation online, email your completed Matching Gift form to matchinggifts@americanrivers.org or mail to:

Is your employer not on the list?

If your employer doesn’t appear in the search results, it’s still possible that your company has a matching program so check with your internal team that manages employee programs to see what options are available to you. If you learn there is no existing program for matching, or for employee giving, and would like to connect your employer with American Rivers to discuss the benefits of employee programs such as these, please email matchinggifts@americanrivers.org.
